I've been busy scribbling and scratching on the Basher Science series for nearly five years now. No wonder my fingers are so ink-stained! It's been an rip-roaring ride and two more books are coming sizzling off the printing presses early next year.

But that's not all I do – as well as other science books I've also written a story for WOW 366, a book specially published to celebrate the 2008 National Year of Reading. I was honoured and excited to have my tale rubbing shoulders with ones written by Roddy Doyle, Michael Morpurgo, Nina Bawden, ex-Prime Minister Gordon Brown... and even Tom from McFly. Cor, pretty fly eh?
